->> FreeTree

FreeTree is a Brussels based music collective that searches to plant trees in the cracks of the concrete jungle of Belgian ribbon development and other depressing places. FreeTree blends their original compositions with BPA-free improvisation and ecological sponges. This bassless trio creates surprising biodegradable textures with their uncommon instrumentation, consisting of piano, drums/percussion and baritone, sopranino and alto saxophone. FreeTree likes to put contrast in their music that always moves somewhere without leaving a large carbon footprint. They explore the whole musical spectrum from very intimistic passages, to wild grooves, from melancholic melodies to ecosystems of rhythmic patterns. Stylewise one can recognise influences of John Zorn, Paul Motian, Charles Mingus, Art Ensemble of Chicago, Keith Jarrett, Sergei Prokofiev, Kaja Draksler.

               With Karen van Schaik (baritone and alto saxophone) & Rob Swennen (drums).

♫ "Ivresse de Lune" - Sensory performance

Ivresse de Lune (Moon Drunk) is an invitation to close one's eyes to perceive more deeply. In this immersive performance inspired by Pierrot Lunaire, the audience is guided through a sensory journey where hearing, touch, and imagination replace sight. Latido Collective weaves a ritual of intimate connection. An inclusive and poetic experience, culminating in the soft light of a dreamed moon.

♫ "Mission Tango"

Children's show version only performed in French!

Ages 5 and up.

Schools, general public, families...

With Cornelia Zambila on violin & Shaya Feldman on double bass.

Script, dramaturgy: Rachel Lascar-Feldman

"A musical treasure hunt awaits you! The famous "Grand-Tango", the grandfather of Milonga, Tanguette and Astor, has gone missing! To find him, you will have to follow these three virtuosos of the violin, double bass and piano around the world, from score to score. Solve the riddles, outsmart the tango-inspectors and discover an invaluable treasure: a collection of tangos from the four corners of the globe.

Did you know that many countries have embraced the tango and adapted it to their own local colours? This is how we find magnificent works, from a Turkish "rose tango" to the hit "Satumaa" from Finland…

Get ready to dance, to feel the rhythm and to live an unforgettable musical adventure!"
